Gutfleisch Brothers

The brothers Johannes and Christian Gutfleisch launched their first joint classical jazz quartet at the end of 2022. For about 20 years, both have been known for their active concert activities, especially in Switzerland and southwest Germany, as well as in international circles.

The Gutfleisch Brothers play their own compositions and arrangements, which were mainly created in the last 5 years. Coming from a jazz tradition, both are strongly influenced by the ECM sound, fusion, world and groove music as well as classical music, absorbed in their parents' environment as children. The trademarks of their performance are drive, interplay and dedication to a massive group sound.

In 2025 they received jazz funding from the city of Basel and in October 2025 made recordings at Hardstudio Winterthur for their first production, which will be released in November 2026.

Patrick Joray & Gianni Narduzzi are two up-and-coming young musicians whose expressive playing style helps shape the energetic, soulful and melancholic sound of the Brothers.
